THIS Is the Love of God!

Our gracious God desires that we each “may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Eph 3:18-19).

Today, as I was praying, I sensed this deep grief mixed with anger towards this generation of older adults. I’m aware this may not sound like the “love” of God. But it is. Here is why. Christ, in His love, died so that humanity might know Him in love, joy, and in eternity. Tell me, who today, are those stealing the hope of a Savior and the worth of true identity and meaning from the youth? Who has captured the minds of young people to drag them into the pit of Hell with their doctrines of demons and teachings that they, these youths, have no worth or value or purpose. Leaving them to despair and suicide? It is the PROUD, ARROGANT, WICKED, LYING, ADULTS!!! That is who! And God is MAD. His love WILL bring down the proud and lift up the broken and wounded! His love WILL extend MERCY to our youth! His faithful love WILL JUDGE this generation! His faithful love WEEPS over those sheep who are wandering without a Shepherd! He WILL faithfully punish our leaders! His love WILL reach down in mercy to the next generation! But THIS generation WILL NOT ESCAPE HIS WRATH! This IS THE LOVE OF GOD. God’s love rewards the righteous and punishes the wicked BECAUSE He is faithful to His Name! God’s love WILL extend mercy to the weak, ignorant, wounded, broken, those defiled by society, the youth who have been lied to by teachers, parents, scientists, and leaders. And God’s love WILL punish them faithfully. Our God is JEALOUS that His name and glory be RIGHTFULLY represented on earth! And lastly, we, who know Christ, WILL give an account regarding how we have represented Him on earth. Did we speak? Did we act? Did we fight for the truth? Did we represent Christ to the youth!

When we think of the “love of God” we may not always think of it in these ways. But in truth, this is the love of God. I pray we will think higher of His love.
