In order to have God’s truth as the filtering system for the thoughts that enter your mind, you must receive the truth when it is revealed to you, you must love the truth as you love the Author of truth, and you must obey the truth.
The truth will always lead you to the heart of God. God’s Word is the written truth, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, and Jesus is the Living Truth.
Before you accept a thought as truth, ask yourself these important questions:
- Does the Bible support this thought?
- Does the Holy Spirit bear witness to this thought?
- Does the life and testimony of Jesus Christ stand in agreement with this thought?
