I going to “attempt” to communicate something from the Spirit. Bear with me ![]()
First, I’m not going to quote a bunch of verses, but instead explain them, only because, as I’ve shared in the past, after listening to the Bible for so many years, and listening carefully and prayerfully daily, it became like second nature in my mind and simply flows as a story from Genesis to Revelation.
So what I’m doing here is unpacking “how” the Spirit speaks the words of the Bible from outside of time, onto paper, in time.
The best example of this is found in the Gospel of John and in the book of Revelation which are written by the same author.
John wants us to understand something. He wants us to understand both in the gospel of John and in Revelation that Jesus Christ is the “Voice and action” in Moses, Joshua, the Judges, King David, Solomon, the Psalms, the Proverbs, the Prophets, you get my point.
And John wants us to grasp this. Once we grasp this, it “unflolds” the scriptures. Just like Psalms tell us, the “unfolding of your Word” gives “Light” (meaning revelation).
So, how does Jesus Christ “speak” a message from outside of time and space “into” time and space?
He does this because “reality” is circular and like a loop instead of linear like a time line. Do you get what I’m saying?
When we understand how eternity interacts with time, it “unveiles” both the words written in the gospel of John and in the book of Revelation.
Some of the books of the New Testament are written “in time and space” because they are teaching us how to live in this world. But other books are written for the purpose of trying to explain “who” Jesus Christ is and “where” you can find Him.
Jesus Christ is “in” Adam, Abel, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, again, you get my point.
For the Holy Spirit, who is “outside of Time,” is Jesus Christ “in time” meaning, in a physical body. For God became flesh. And God had been becoming flesh as a “shadow and type of Christ” from the beginning of time and interacting with “every generation.”
So, the gospel of John and Revelation are “centering us” on that reality. And this is one of the reasons why the number “7” is ALL OVER the story of the gospel of John and Revelation. It is because “7 = heaven, outside of time, or complete, fulfillment, meaning God’s view.”
Have you ever been worshiping or praying or reading the scripture and suddenly the words come to life and take on a “4th dimension” in a way, or your worship/prayer time takes on that 4th dimension?
If you are deeply seeking the LORD then I’m pretty sure you’ve experienced this. You are experiencing “outside of time, in time” and that is how the gospel of John and Revelation are written. John, by the Spirit, is trying to communicate on paper Jesus Christ from Genesis forward, and how when Jesus Christ became flesh He was “reenacting” and explaining or interpreting Genesis forward.
And the book of Revelation is doing the same thing except it is “bringing foward to completion” all the past words, stories, images, and themes of the Old Testament into their final purpose. And the “center” of the book of Revelation is, again, Jesus Christ, the “fulfillment,” or, as weird as it seems, the “7” of all things outside of time.
Finally, how does this impact you?
You, child of God, “live” in eternity presently. You interact with heaven constantly because Jesus Christ is “IN” you by the Holy Spirit. You have “overcome” and are “chosen, beloved, Holy, and blessed.”
I pray that from now on that the more you familiarize yourself with the Old Testament and also the New Testament, that they’ll begin to “overlap and unveil” the identity of Jesus Christ, the “eternal Word” in the mouths of those speaking and living.
We live in two worlds at one time. May you experience heaven on earth as you worship and serve your LORD ![]()
