Not a “Nationalist” and Not a “Globalist” and Why…

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6).

We, children of God, are born again! We are born of another Kingdom and our Dad is the King. We once lived according to the standards of this world and according to our birth in the flesh. But now we live according to our new and truer identity.

John says, “everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God,… everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith” (1 John 5:1-4).

And Paul says first about those of the world, and then us, that, “for [there are] many,…with minds set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself” (Phil. 3:18-21, emphasis mine)

On the “About” page of this website I have stated that a majority of this ministry is to remind the child of God of his or her “IDENTITY”. And what I have written there I want to reiterate. That when a child of God knows “who they are, where they’re from, why they’re here, and where they’re going” then they will walk according to the will of God, with confidence, in this life.

Now, regarding all this, I am NOT saying, “don’t fight for your country, don’t vote, don’t be involved in politics, etc…”. I am saying, that why we do what we do needs to be informed by our identity which then our purpose and perspective will be correct! We are the salt and light of the world. This means we are not OF this world but we bring Christ into this world through love, truth, and righteousness by the Holy Spirit within us.

I personally believe there are Christians in both camps. The conservative and the liberal who have forgotten the core of their identity when addressing political and social ideas. I am a conservative Christian but I disagree with much of the “nationalist” purpose because according to what I read in the New Testament and from what I understand about the nature of our identity in Christ it does not follow certain ideas found there. But I almost certainly disagree with the liberal side because it is much farther from the truth than the conservative side.

But at the end of the day, and at the “end of days” Christ will come and take us to the place He has prepared for us. And this view was the view of the Apostles. They did not live for physical Jerusalem nor for Rome. But they lived for the Kingdom above and this perspective informed their speaking and living.

Therefore, child of God…look up, seek the Kingdom from above and only that Kingdom then you will live with a heavenly perspective and the world will be attracted to your peace, joy, hope, and light. So, Church, let us first love God, then love our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, then let us agree to walk out our salvation and our hope which is appearing soon coming on the clouds with glory! Amen. Encourage one another ❤
