“…and he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love” (Eph. 4:11-16)
Please, I would ask you to help me. I cannot, nor was I meant to, “do ministry” alone. I am very passionate about certain subjects which the Holy Spirit has brought to my attention according to the gifting He gave me. ALSO, you are very passionate about the subjects which the Holy Spirit has put on your heart according to the gifting and calling which He has put on your life.
Sometimes I hear those who do not like what I share, or do not like the way I worded something, or do not like that my post doesn’t address every issue surrounding the specific issue which I am addressing. Here is why I do not, nor can I, address every issue on everyone’s heart in the way they want me to address it. And why I do not address every subject or address every different aspect, or viewpoint in every subject. It is because God did not give me that burden. Because that is YOUR BURDEN. And I need you to address what God has put on your heart to share with the Body-of-Christ because we all need each other to do the part which God has called and equipped each one to do so that we can build each one up….in love. This is why some people resonate with certain messages from a pastor or teacher and why others do not. And why some messages will be used by the Holy Spirit to speak to a certain thing in our lives and at other times it will not apply to our situation at all. We are the Body-of-Christ and we are all individual parts of that Body meant to cooperate with the Holy Spirit (FOCUS on this next part) because we are only called to do what God has called us to do and we cannot do that which belongs to another part of the Body. The day I realized this it set me free from “comparison, compromise, doubt, complication, fear, and human expectation” why? Because I ONLY concerned myself with what I WAS CALLED TO DO…and I did not try to “pastor, facilitate, shepherd, evangelize, physically build/serve, etc. I only am called as a prophet and the burden of a prophet is to declare the heart of God regarding the times and the truth and to help align the Body (the Church) with the Head (Christ), when there is a need for it.
So, I need you who are “pastors, teachers, evangelists, builders/fixers, facilitators, etc..” to add your message and piece to my piece and to voice what God has burdened you with. This way we will all be taught, encouraged, corrected, strengthened, and bringing hope and healing where it is needed in our communities.
Finally, “as each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Pet. 4:10-11)
