What the LORD Has Planted Man Cannot Uproot

What the LORD has planted man cannot uproot. What man has planted the LORD will uproot

– Mark Forslof

“Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever” (Ps. 125:1).

“The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him” (Na. 1:7).

“My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together!” (Ps. 34:2-3).

“His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man, but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love” (Ps. 147:10-11).

“Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday” Psalms 37:4-6

Today I am here to testify to the TRUTH: This is my testimony, “One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple” (Ps. 27:4, emphasis mine). By the grace and loving kindness of my God He has seen fit to remove all things which hinder the verse above from being what my life is. I do not boast in man, including myself. I put no weight in the wisdom of man or of this world. I have found my peace, hope, and counsel from the Word of God and the Holy Spirit who confirms to my being God’s intimate voice daily. I do not stive to compete in business, beauty, wealth, or health. I live for ONE THING ALONE, the glory of God. However, what that entails for me is different than for you. The Lord will use our history, our genetic makeup, our circumstances, our strengths, and our weaknesses for His ultimate glory, and our ultimate good … when and if … we give them over to Him. Many times, it takes a “beating” to get us to hand all things over to His control. But when we do, what do we find? Blessing, freedom, and joy. The other day I wrote: “It is the glory of God to break you” and many people responded positively (this was on Facebook). Why is it they responded positively? Because they knew this was true. Throughout the entire Word of God, God is “breaking people” for His own glory and truly, for their glory too. We know God’s ways are higher than man’s ways and that what man calls foolish the Lord calls wise and vice versa. Currently my family and I are facing a very difficult situation. I reached out on social media for prayer (which I always do). The funny, or not so funny, thing is that most people who respond to prayer requests on social media (which I do pay attention to) don’t just “respond” to the prayer request. They also offer their “great wealth” of wisdom. Of course, they mean well. The problem is most of them “lack wisdom.” However, I do pay attention to those who “listen well” and who deeply “know” the Lord. And I hear them!

So, here is what I want to attest to. Regarding this scary “threat” of being forced out of our home within three months without an income from employment, with no money to purchase a house, with five pets, after living in this one for eighteen years, we have concluded, NO! Why do we say “no” you may ask? Simply because the LORD has not said YES! Now, if the LORD says “yes” then it will be the LORD leading. The difference is “the LORD.” This is how I must live, and this is how my family lives. Today it became clear “in our spirits/hearts and with conviction” that all three of us, my wife, my daughter, and me, through our daughter’s dreams, the Word of God, and deep peace in my wife’s heart, and because I know my Father’s voice, that we are to do nothing. And so, just as I preached to pastors in 2020, “do what you have always done.” Meaning, just because there is a health threat, and just because the world says “fear” and “shut your doors Church” does not mean you do it. You do what you have always done. You gather and worship God, being the city on a hill of hope to a world without hope. Therefore, I will wake in the morning and by God’s grace I will live as though we are going nowhere. Again, hear me out. This is faith in action. When the LORD moves, we move. Just as Israel lived in the Wilderness. For those who know the story, when the cloud lifted and moved, Israel moved. When the cloud rested on the Tabernacle, they rested right where they were. And because the LORD is in this place. And this place (our house) is dedicated to the LORD for his glory and praise, it is filled from wall to wall with His glory. This is a house of prayer and of the Word of God. His name is honored here, and His angels abide here. So, we stay until the cloud moves.

Therefore, I am doing what I always do whether it is on here or social media. I am testifying to the glory of the LORD, in the name, meaning, the authority of, Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Lord of all. Amen

  1. Amen! We truly have no choice, if the Lord says go, we must obey, and He will provide there, if He says stay, nothing can remove you from there. If He says wait, we wait. That’s called obedience. Great article my brother! Thank you!!!
