Temporary Healing…

“They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying, Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace…..Thus says the LORD: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ (Jeremiah 6: 14,16)

The weeds which were brought to light and exposed over the last year by Covid, chaos in the streets, and homes, fear, disorder, and confusion in the Church, did not expose the “roots”. But the roots of these weeds were just covered up with fresh soil. People said “this to will pass. Just hang in there”. They did not repent of the “false foundations and the idols of the heart”. They shrunk back in fear and refused to move out in faith.

Therefore, what we now have is a “false light” a “false, temporary, healing” It is just “surface” deep! What the Lord desired of His people, only a handful responded.

Satan is the false light. The “angel of light”. He is the one who seeks to bring peace, health, order, and oneness APART from TRUTH. Apart from Jesus Christ. He is behind all political and social movements which APPEAR as “good and positive” apart from God Almighty. It is only a movement of “man” apart from God. Therefore it is a “light, temporary, surface deep, healing”

Therefore, you who belong to the Lord. Seek His face in repentance and truth. Respond to your Lord and King with allegiance. And blessings and protection and peace to you who recognize the times. Who responded and acted by faith and clung to Jesus for safety.

So, be prepared for what’s ahead! Our answer is to discern the times by staying in the Word of God and in prayer. Be alert, “be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith,” (1 Peter 5:8-9a)

  1. Thank you for taking the time to share. This resonates… I remember standing in a nearly-empty, somewhat newly-reopened church building several months ago, feeling and voicing a desire for “things to go back to normal” but realizing in my Spirit that things weren’t meant to go back to the way they were…. The Lord has more that He desires for His creation than the comfort zones we’ve been in… I’ve been in….
