First recall this truth from the scriptures. That it is much better that both a nation and an individual never knew of the gospel of Jesus Christ and had access to a holy Bible…than to have known about it and rejected it!
“My soul yearns for you in the night;
my spirit within me earnestly seeks you.
For when your judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
If favor is shown to the wicked,
he does not learn righteousness;
in the land of uprightness he deals corruptly
and does not see the majesty of the Lord.
O Lord, your hand is lifted up,
but they do not see it.
Let them see your zeal for your people, and be ashamed” (Isa. 26:9-11, emphasis mine).
These very verses from Isaiah are the reason I prayed and trusted the Lord that Trump would not be re-elected in 2020. (Let me explain first!) At first I did not understand why he was elected in 2016, for I heard the urgency of the Lord and the time is near. You see, since prayer was removed from school, then the sexual revolution, along with drug addiction increasing, and then the legalization of Abortion, then the wide spread acceptance of homosexuality and transgenderism and on and on in a downward spiral, away from the truths which this nation was founded on. WHICH, according to Romans Chapter 1 is the natural “JUDGEMENT” of God upon a nation who has rejected Him. So, I asked the Lord in 2016, why was Trump elected? I did not understand. But then it came to me, most recently. Thinking it was the mercy of God by Trump being elected. But instead I am convinced it is part of the judgement of God. Here is why. Those four years of Trump God allowed for the continued complacency of the Christian Church, along with its luke-warmness to continue, being comfortable and undisturbed, and in need of nothing (The Church of Laodicea, Rev. 3). Plus, it allowed for hearts which resist God to continue to grow and increase in anger and rebellion against the ways of God and get harder and harder. Those who hate God did not turn to God just because Trump was elected, nor did Christians cry out to God in repentance and a forsaking of being “married to the World”, along with its daily lethargy and luke-warm devotion to the Lord, just because Trump was in office. Therefore, it is a judgement that Trump was elected, not mercy. And the consequences of Trumps four years allowed for sin and rebellion and hardness of heart to continue so that it was ready and ripe to elect Biden and Kamala, because the time had finally come where the results of God’s judgement are speeding ahead at crazy rates.
HOWEVER, the ONLY way that God’s people will “come out of the world” and be separate and consecrate themselves in holiness to the Lord is through…..being HUMBLED into repentance, which only comes through judgement. As is witnessed throughout the scriptures. This is how God moves. These are His ways from the beginning. So, it is not to late for repentance to happen. But humility must come first, then the Church can awaken out of its sleep! However, hearts will continue to harden and the persecution will increase because those who hate God, also hate His people, and they stand judged today. The wicked will continue to increase in its wickedness as will the righteous in righteousness. “Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy” (Rev. 22:11) The time in near. But, as long as it is called today, let us shine our light, offer our hope, extend our mercy, and love one another, and extend love to the world. Let us not harden our hearts though wickedness increase and though the love of many grows cold. Today is still the day of Salvation! And through judgement people of the world can find mercy as they repent in humility before the Lord. And through judgement the Church can awaken to who She is and set Herself apart to the Lord of glory! Amen
